</br>THE STORY
With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.

Our Rave Reviews

  • My favourite part of Grease has been the high intensity choreography. The most challenging part has been how to act “flirtatious”. This is my third musical with LJT.
    Dylan, age 16 as Sonny
  • There is no possible way to only list one cool thing about being in 13. Working on a musical like this means it’s okay to be yourself and to feel as a teenager and as a human being.
    Audrey, age 13, as Archie
  • My favourite part of Grease has been everything but especially having fun with my friends. I have gained a lot of confidence during this show and have learned to not doubt myself.
    Regan, age 14 as Jan
  • My favourite part of the 13 process has been the people I’ve met. They are really great! The coolest thing I learned in 13 is how I’ve been able to grow in my dancing skills.
    Heather, age 14 as Ensemble
  • My favourite part of Grease has been meeting all of the amazing people. The most challenging part has been not showing the back of my head! This is my 7th show with LJT.
    Thomas, age 14 as Doody
