DR. SEUSS WEEK
Summer camp this year is off to a great start! We’re nearing the end of our second week and we’ve had so much fun during Dr. Seuss week using our imaginations and dancing to “Green Eggs & Ham” from the musical, Seussical!
We started off the week by learning new games, getting to know each other and choosing a song for musical theatre and some students chose to perform monologues too!
The instructors teach the actors about improv and are never afraid to make silly faces or do something strange for the sake of drama!
On Wednesday afternoons, actors make masks to resemble their characters for their scene groups! The actors are so creative and they love mask-making day! We have lots of exciting materials for them to design their character masks. Characters include princesses, “Things”, penguins, “The Cat in the Hat”, hamsters and more!
Actors ended the week with an exciting performance in front of 40 family members and friends! Thank you for supporting your awesome kids!
UNDER THE SEA WEEK
This week, campers are exploring body movement and getting creative while playing “the hat game”!
Instructors help the actors to think creatively and teach them about improv too! Here’s a few photos of our staff working with the scene groups….
The actors are preparing for their Under the Sea themed Showcase Performance on Friday at 3:30pm! They can’t wait to show off what they’ve been learning for their parents, family and friends!
We still have spaces left in all of our August camps, so, if this looks like fun – you can register online by clicking on THIS LINK! We would love to have this much fun at camp with you too!
